I need absolution. As do you. We're both guilty on the charge of murder. I remember the time I saw A Few Good Men. I was disappointed by the verdict, "Guilty, on the charge of behaviour contradictory to a Naval Police Officer." But today, I guess we're both guilty on a similar charge. We should have taken better care of what was entrusted to us, so unique, so precious.

I need understanding. As do you. But we need different lessons. It's like choosing different electives to study but the final degree remains the same. Different specialisations, maybe. Maybe that is how we bring our own uniqueness to the table.

I received my first lesson last night. God works in strange ways, to say the least. My realisation is my punishment and my action, yours. Your forgiveness is your salvation, it's acceptance, my first lesson in humility. Such exchanges are to be my new religion. And our absolution lies in an ending in the beginning.
