You never realise the full-blown, far-reaching consequences of your actions till those consequences come back to bite you. It's surprising how callous one can be without intending to. As proud as I am of this new found awareness of mine, the accompanying prize is a gut-wrenching guilt which sears through my system when I can touch the pain I've inflicted, just as if it were a bruise. Like Ashoka took to Buddhism after Kalinga, I resolve to insight after last night. To thinking things through. After all, it is ok to be slow - I have eternity if I want it.
