Two Things

First, I have a new favorite place in the wonderful city of Chicago! The Impressionist Gallery at The Art Institute of Chicago is my slice of heaven within walking distance from home. Now if they stocked it with falafel and mangoes, I would never leave. The gallery has the original A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Seurat and Van Gogh's self-portait and Bedroom in Aries. There are Renoir's and Monet's and a traveling Cezanne but G made my day yesterday with a glimpse of the Seurat. Chicago, you grow on me with each passing day of the summer. Like I told G yesterday, I have a coat and boots now, I might as well stay on.

Second, there's a while till I get myself some falafel. I will be enjoying the fruits of my labor, very literally, till then. More on said fruit can be found here. Insights welcome.

Oh, almost forgot to mention that the obsession with A Sunday.. comes from this jigsaw puzzle I had of it growing up.
