Two consecutive days, at around the same time, played on the same radio station and heard by moi. Very, very, very catchy song from Delhi 6. Listened to the entire song carefully after dinner last night and can't seem to get it out of my head. Spent the entire bus ride to work this morning listening to this song and smiling a happy, secret smile to myself. Still playing it. I think I'm going to leave work early and ride the bus again and listen to the song, it sounds better on the bus. :)
"Bushirt pahine, khayee ke bida paan,
Poore Raipur se alag hai,
Saiyaan ji ki shaan, .."
The above stanza sends me into ripples of laughter. Paints very vivid pictures, which in my laughter get all mixed up and become just a hazy collection of the bush shirt my grandpa had, the paan shop outside Nadhini's on St Mark's Road and my computer screen. Just recollecting all this to write about it is making me all happy again. *
