Ye Dooriyan

L. asked me to listen to this song last week. I must confess I can't make out head or tail of this song nor the spirit in which I was asked to listen to it. Do you want to say you miss me? Or are you saying we are growing further apart? What is it? What in the world are trying to tell me? And wouldn't it be simpler to just, you know, tell me!

I hope I'm not getting more and more obtuse. :( I couldn't appreciate the two latest poems that the Reaper posted and that's not a good sign. I did realise something important on the bus last evening. Not so much realise than see a known principle in action. I read this nice story as a part of my Hindi curriculum for class X by the name of Sanyasi. Without going into the details of the story, there was a comment by the author which said,"pani to sirf neeche ki taraf baheta hai" Last evening the driver of the bus was telling off a really old lady for something or the other but the aforementioned comment made perfect sense.

On a separate note, I am in full agreement with you can't do the crime and be the judge. But I can't be punished when I haven't done anything wrong. It's proven to be a very long week and the signs are that it will continue to be a very long month, if not months. Amen to that. I have no more weekends to spare.

I am, however, thrilled with myself since last evening. As my cousin rightly said, I know enough ways to entertain myself. To which I add, and enough reasons to be pleased with me as well. To self obsession. Yay me!
